Here we are in August and I take a break from packing to send you this, the final chapter.
The theme of the annual British Wheel of Yoga Congress back in April was “Parinama – the Yoga of Change” and even then I hadn’t grasped quite what was going on behind the scenes to shift me into this new phase of my life. It was there that I met the wonderful Dr Rosie Daniel, patron of BWY, and learned about “Health Creation” and “The Integrated Health Trust”. As usual, I came away from Congress feeling truly inspired plus, in the back of my mind, thinking I’d maybe look into all this next year but, well – it just wouldn’t go away would it?
So, my biggest news is that I start my training in Bath as a Health Creation Mentor in September. I am so excited to be part of it. Please visit the website and find out about Rosie’s vision: - www.healthcreation.co.uk Her passionate commitment to maintaining optimum health will revolutionize the current relationship between "well-ness" and "ill-ness".
It has been mind-blowing how the Universe slotted everything into place once I listened to my heart and started things moving. I found the perfect school in a little village on the Somerset Levels for my son George whose special needs were not being met at Northampton School for Boys (there’s another story!), my house is sold and I am now the proud owner of a VW camper-van called “Bertie”, who will be our home until I find us somewhere to rent.
What about Annette’s School of Yoga you ask? I am passing the torch, with love and blessings, to my dear friend Bhavna Karia, who is taking over the Northampton classes for me. I am so grateful that she has stepped forward so that I can move on with confidence, knowing that my dream which turned into reality back in 2002 will not die. Bhavna has already won the hearts of the Brafield set and I know the St James gang will embrace her therapeutic teaching style too when the classes resume on September 3rd. Bhavna can be contacted on 01604 414225 or e-mail bhavna@btconnect.com if you have any questions.
Please don’t forget about Santosa, the August bank holiday Yoga camp where our love affair with Somerset started nearly 3 years ago. This year it is 10 days (Hooray from George!) and at the time of writing, there are still spaces. Full details at: - www.sitaram.org/retreats/santosa.html
As a final plea I urge you to consider joining the "Integrated Health Trust" charity Rosie Daniel has set up, and show your support for her fantastic work. You can join on-line at: - www.integratedhealthtrust.org or phone: 0845 890 9131
It's free and you receive newsletters keeping you up to date with events and progress.
I thank you with all of my heart for the support and love I have enjoyed this past 6 years, and for all your cards, gifts and kind words. I feel truly blessed to have had the privilege of guiding you a little way along your path and wish nothing but the very best for you as you continue your Yoga journey. Now back to packing...
Oodles of Aums & Shantis
